Opravidlo 2.0 – Public Online Proofreading Service

About the project

The Opravidlo 2.0 project aims to enhance and fully operationalize a beta-version online proofreading service for the Czech language, designed to improve communication by ensuring high-quality writing through accurate spelling, grammar, and typesetting corrections. While the current system demonstrates high precision, it has limited recall, prompting the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance its capabilities. The project will develop neural network models to work alongside existing linguistic rules, improving the tool's overall effectiveness. Additionally, the service will be expanded to support multiple languages in the user interface, aiding in the integration of foreigners into Czech society, and contributing to Open Science by releasing datasets and methodologies for broader linguistic and educational use.
