Third Workshop on Recent Advances in Slavonic Natural Language Processing, RASLAN 2009 December 4th - 6th 2009 Karlova Studanka, Czech Republic http://nlp.fi.muni.cz/raslan/2009/cfp.html The workshop is organized by NLP Consulting under the auspices of the NLP Centre of the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, Brno. VENUE: Karlova Studanka, Czech Republic The RASLAN Workshop is an event dedicated to exchange of information between research teams working on projects of computer processing of Slavonic languages and related areas. RASLAN is focused on theoretical as well as technical aspects of the project work, presentations of verified methods are welcomed together with descriptions of development trends. The workshop also serves as a place for discussion about new ideas. TOPICS Topics of the Workshop will include (but are not limited to): * text corpora and tagging * syntactic parsing * sense disambiguation * machine translation * semantic networks and ontologies * semantic web * knowledge representation and reasoning * applied systems and software PROGRAM COMMITTEE * Karel Pala (chair) * Pavel Rychlý * Aleš Horák FORMAT OF THE WORKSHOP The workshop program will include oral presentations with sufficient time for discussions of the issues raised. Papers will be presented in plenary or topic oriented sessions. Social events will allow for additional informal interactions. SUBMISSION OF PAPERS Authors are invited to submit a full paper of 4 to 8 pages formatted in the LNCS style (see below). Those accepted will be presented orally at the workshop. The authors are asked to submit their papers by e-mail to xrambous@fi.muni.cz. IMPORTANT DATES Please register as early as possible otherwise the accommodation cannot be guaranteed. October 26 2009 ............ Submission of papers November 1 2009 ............ Notification of acceptance November 7 2009 ............ Final papers (camera ready) December 4-6 2009 .......... Workshop date The contributions to the workshop will be published in proceedings that will be made available to participants at the time of the workshop. OFFICIAL LANGUAGE The workshop papers will be in English and the presentations can be in English or Czech. ACCOMMODATION The organizing committee will arrange accommodation at the workshop venue. Please note that the number of accommodation places is limited, so we can guarantee the accommodation only for early registrations.
